Consequences

Hello friends, this week is going to be insane for me. We have to attend an out of town funeral on Tuesday and then Friday, Saturday, Sunday are filled with wedding festivities. I’m not going to lie to you, I’m a little stressed and a little out of touch with reality. I’m only going to be at work 3 days this week, and that pretty much terrifies me. But, there are no alternatives to this situation. (I thought about asking my brother to move his wedding, but his phone is out of service, while he’s bachelor partying it up)

So, saying that, I’m not going to have a lot of time for writing. I’m going to give you the skinny fat, about this weekend and my weigh in, today. Then a few days this week I will have some wonderful guest posts for you to read. I have a lot of lovely blogger friends who stepped right up when I needed them. They’re lovely.

If I had to label this weekend, on a scale of 1-10, solely judging food;1 being unhealthy, 10 being awesome, it would easily rank at a -50.

Friday we went to the fair:

Chicken Pita
Ribbon Fries
Funnel Cake

Then we went to dinner:

Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Wine

Saturday we went out for Barbecue (Pat’s birthday):

Grilled Chicken
Fried Onion Petals
Corn drenched in butter
Corn bread
Funnel Cake dipped in Chocolate

Sunday:

Buffalo Chicken Crepe
Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Fries

Now, before you all have to comment on how often I eat chicken, specifically in the form of a sandwich, I know, I consider myself a connoisseur. I’m not going to give myself excuses for how I ate, but I am going to give you reasons, and I already know that they are kind of sucky reasons.

  1. Friday was Pat’s birthday and we had to celebrate, everyday.
  2. The Erie County Fair only comes once a year, and it’s not a fair without funnel cake.
  3. I just didn’t care

My Consequences:

I gained 1.6 lbs this week alone. Yikes. I know what I did wrong, and I’m sure you can see it too, but at least I’m being honest. I will never lie and say I had a fabulous week when I didn’t.

But that was only with food, with everything else I did well, I hit all of my goals in terms of running, exercise and water, and I’m ready to do it all over again this week. I’m also ready to have a bad food week again this week, let’s face it, my brothers getting married. I’m going to have a drink here, a piece of cake there, oh well. I’ll get over it.

The main point here is that I literally have 0 reason to be frustrated, sad, or anxious about my results this week. Results only come from hard work and diligence. The physical hard work happened, but I let my eating go downhill. I can’t turn back time so all I can do is move forward and stay positive.
